Description
Fresco White Set is a fine powdered off white render, pre–packed in easy to handle 20kg multi walled bags. When mixed with water it can be applied by using a projection machine or by hand directly onto various surfaces such as brick, clay, stone work, AAC and concrete walls, etc.
Fresco White Set can be applied at various thicknesses ranging from 2mm – 100mm in one coating, and will not display any signs of cement weaknesses such as cracking, herring, boning and drumminess. It can be applied and finished at a much faster rate than traditional renders.
If there are any damaged areas just give it a quick skim of Fresco Fine Finish and the surface is ready for painting, saving you both time and money.

Preparation
All receiving surfaces must be free of grease, dust, dirt, fungus, silicone, loose or unstable materials and excessive water, etc. Surface areas such as Polystrene, FC Sheet, must first be coated with Fresco Render and alkali-resistant Fibre Glass Mesh prior to Fresco White Set being applied. |
Mixing Instructions
Fresco White Set can be applied by using a projection machine, which automatically mixes and sprays product onto the wall. If mixing by hand, it can be prepared using a variable speed drill in a 20 litre bucket or a traditional cement mixer but in all cases use clean pure water. |
Application
Once the surface has been prepared the product can be troweled or sprayed on with a pump to the required thickness. Rule off with an English Feather straight edge to provide a flat surface. When the White Set is starting to firm by touch it is sponged with a hand sponge. If the surface has firmed up too much it can be misted with water to bring it back.
Work the surface with a steel trowel to bring it to a smooth finish. Apply a final coat of Fresco Fine Finish when the Fresco White Set has firmed up before it is fully cured. Mix the White Set Fine to a very liquid consistency, apply by steel trowel as a thin watery coat to give a high quality finish. The White Set Fine Finish can be used to repair any damage to wall prior to painting.
Fresco White Set Fine can be applied over sand and cement render that is dead straight. Three coats will be needed to achieve a high quality finish.

Drying and Curing
Once the product has been applied and worked to the required finish, depending on the thickness applied, room temperature, exposure to wind etc, it will take from 5 – 28 days to fully dry. Initially the wall may “sweat” for some days, due to natural evaporation. When the wall had dried, prime the surface with Fresco Sealer Undercoat or a Fresco pigmented sealer. |
Coverage
This is determined by the thickness required on the wall. |
Painting over Fresco White Set and Fresco Fine Finish
Fresco White Set and Fresco Fine Finish surfaces must be primed with Fresco Sealer undercoat or an oil based pigmented sealer. Followed by acrylic or enamel finishes or the surfaces may be waxed or clear glazed finished.
Fresco has a range of paints that can be applied over the surfaces with a fantastic range of colours. We will make up any desired colour.
